PwC’s Africa Strategy well underway with the appointment of a new Partner to head its Workforce team

PwC Mauritius is pleased to announce the appointment of Karen Greyvenstein as Partner in Tax, effective 01 January 2025.This appointment aligns with the firm’s commitment to service more global and regional clients.

Dheerend Puholoo, Tax Line of Service Leader, shared: “Karen has been instrumental in the success of the Africa Payroll Service Delivery Centre (“SDC”), making use of the PwC Global Payroll Platform (“GPP”) that was developed by PwC Mauritius, and now used in more than 100 countries worldwide. The Africa Payroll SDC was shortlisted for an award by the Global Payroll Association as Regional Payroll Provider in 2024. She is leading our Africa Payroll SDC, which comprises of over 60 payroll specialists based in East Africa. I am incredibly proud that, through Karen and her team, we are supporting multinational organisations transform their payroll operations.’’

Following her appointment as Partner, Karen Greyvenstein shared: “I am thrilled to be admitted to the PwC partnership. As a reminder, the firm announced in May 2024 a new operating model now structured around four customer service divisions: Assurance, Tax, Consulting and Risk Services (C&RS) and Deals. This initiative aims to strengthen PwC Mauritius' international presence within PwC's African and global network and thus better serve its clients with interests in Africa, particularly in the East Market Area (EMA), and to respond to business trends, particularly in global business.
