Moka, 02 April 2019 - PwC announced today the launch of PwC Legal (Mauritius) Ltd, trading as ' PwC Legal ' , a newly registered Mauritius law firm set up by Managing Partner Anne-Sophie Jullienne supported by Ashveen Gopee, Rajiv Gujadhur and Ashwina Pittea as well a team of 5 legal executives.
PwC Legal is an entity that is separate and independent from other PwC firms and their partners, though it operates under the PwC brand , and works in close collaboration with PwC.
Anne-Sophie Jullienne is a practising barrister in England & Wales and in Mauritius and is also a non-practising barrister at the Paris bar. She worked for leading international law firms in London for a great part of her career. Her practice focuses on general business advisory matters as well as dispute resolution. She has brought with her an experienced and reputable team of lawyers. Rajiv Gujadhur has over 15 years standing at the Mauritius Bar.
He has for the past 10 years specialised as a corporate lawyer with a particular focus on M&A, corporate reorganisations, investment funds related transactions and financial services regulations. Ashveen Gopee has been practising law as a barrister for over 12 years. He specialises in financial services, funds and trust as well as FinTech. Ashwina Pittea is a barrister with six years experience. She specialises in data protection, employment and intellectual property.
